October Fun for Animal Lovers

There are no excuses for boredom this month in Wichita Falls. The animal welfare groups have made sure you have lots of great options to have fun and help us save lives at the same time. Mark your calendars for these exciting events. Support NKWF and all the organizations that are working to make No-Kill WF a reality.

Join the PETS team for an afternoon of music, fun, and great company Sunday, October 18th, 2-6 pm at Iron Horse Pub. Performances from local bands Time Image, Supanova, and Mutty Waters.

Cover charge is $10 or $5 with a student or military ID. This show will be ALL AGES and NON-SMOKING. All proceeds from the cover charge benefit P.E.T.S. Low Cost Spay and Neuter Clinic, but many NKWF partners will be onsite with adoptable pets, information, and donation opportunities. Find out more on our Facebook event page.

Community-Wide Adoption Event Saturday, October 24th, 10 am-2 pm with all the NKWF partners on site, countless adoptable pets, carnival-style fun for the kids, and great food. Check out our event page for all the details. Come find your new family member at Barktoberfest.

This is your excuse to act like a kid on Halloween. P.E.T.S. has joined forces with Habitat for Humanity. We are co-hosting a dodgeball tournament on Halloween, Saturday, October 31st, starting at 8 am. It’s a 2-game elimination, and teams are encouraged to play in costume. Cost is $100 per team. Teams are 6 people with 2 alternates. All proceeds benefit P.E.T.S. and Habitat for Humanity. Come show your support for these 2 awesome charities and burn some calories before trick-or-treating that night. Please note we are playing indoors at the Zundy Jr High gym, not Spudder Park, so the weather will not spoil our fun.
